What People Say

It is important to recognise that we all have a "brand" out there. I have spent many years involved in some cutting edge projects, developing great working relationships with extra-ordinary people who all have my admiration for their very individual skills and experience.

I have asked them to reflect on their experiences of working with me so you can get a flavour of what I love doing, what I am passionate about and perhaps a little of my values. I have been privileged to work with some really fantastic people during my career and I wanted to share some of what they have said about our shared experiences (you can read about it on my LinkedIn).

Top qualities: Great Results, Personable, Expert: “Simon instructed a 5-day course for my organization that included an Introduction to Project Management Fundamentals and Introduction to MS Project 2007. He did an exceptional job in translating concepts into practical application for the work environment. Simon's work ethic is incredible. He tirelessly developed additional materials outside of class each evening to reinforce the class discussions each day. Finally, he managed to facilitate the initiating and planning stages of a real-world project for my organization using MS Project 2007 in such a way as to provide a practical, fundamental foundation for all the students. I would hire Simon again and again!

As part of the quality assurance process, his teaching is appraised by the students at the end of the course. Consistently, the feedback from the students is very positive and the satisfaction rate is high. Simon and I worked as Project Managers together for over a year on a large NHS engagement. He then became my line manager at Microsoft before setting up his own company. Simon has a sound background in Project Management and uses a sensible approach to dealing with issues as they arrive. He is particularly respected for sharing his knowledge on Risk Management to the Project Management Community in Microsoft. He is very structured, and his focus on helping people lends itself well to the material he now teaches at Robertson Consulting Ltd.

I worked with Simon at Microsoft and highly recommend him. He is a Project Manager who brings a great deal of experience to his work and delivers consistent and high quality results. The best experience I had working with him though was presenting on behalf of Microsoft UK to 400 year 6 students at the IET in London. Simon's passion and engaging manner captured the attention of the audience and made this one of the most enjoyable presentations that I have been a part of. I'd hire him without a second of hesitation.

Simon is an excellent Project Manager who has the ability to manage large, complex and highly political projects. He is able to keep a project team focused and motivated and leads by example. I found him to be well versed in leading a large team to meet timeframes and objectives.

Simon's diligence, his natural ability to inspire and motivate people, his integrity and attention to detail made him one of the most effective Project Managers I had the pleasure to work with. We had several employees at K2 who were on a large multi-corporation project Simon managed, and to this day, they talk with great admiration of his character and abilities.
