Simon is an excellent Project Manager who has the ability to manage large, complex and highly political projects. He is able to keep a project team focused and motivated and leads by example. I found him to be well versed in leading a large team to meet timeframes and objectives.
I worked closely with Simon on the Microsoft Leadership Programme and found him to be highly personally supportive, Very willing to support and try new ideas and a real asset to the development of the programme.
It was an absolute pleasure to be working with Simon on a range of projects at Microsoft. With his calm and tactful approach to work, thorough planning with clear goals, Simon makes his colleagues feel confident in the success of the project. Simon knows how to “steer the ship” of any scale. His excellent skills make every project achieve great heights. I highly recommend Simon as an extremely experienced project manager.
I worked with Simon at Microsoft and highly recommend him. He is a Project Manager who brings a great deal of experience to his work and delivers consistent and high quality results. The best experience I had working with him though was presenting on behalf of Microsoft UK to 400 year 6 students at the IET in London. Simon’s passion and engaging manner captured the attention of the audience and made this one of the most enjoyable presentations that I have been a part of. I’d hire him without a second of hesitation.
Simon and I worked as Project Managers together for over a year on a large NHS engagement. He then became my line manager at Microsoft before setting up his own company. Simon has a sound background in Project Management and uses a sensible approach to dealing with issues as they arrive. He is particularly respected for sharing his knowledge on Risk Management to the Project Management Community in Microsoft. He is very structured, and his focus on helping people lends itself well to the material he now teaches at Robertson Consulting Ltd

Top qualities: Great Results, Personable, Expert: “Simon instructed a 5-day course for my organization that included an Introduction to Project Management Fundamentals and Introduction to MS Project 2007. He did an exceptional job in translating concepts into practical application for the work environment. Simon’s work ethic is incredible. He tirelessly developed additional materials outside of class each evening to reinforce the class discussions each day. Finally, he managed to facilitate the initiating and planning stages of a real-world project for my organization using MS Project 2007 in such a way as to provide a practical, fundamental foundation for all the students. I would hire Simon again and again!
Simon’s diligence, his natural ability to inspire and motivate people, his integrity and attention to detail made him one of the most effective Project Managers I had the pleasure to work with. We had several employees at K2 who were on a large multi-corporation project Simon managed, and to this day, they talk with great admiration of his character and abilities.
